For our Christmas gift from Santa Cheney we got a trip to Las Vegas. We left on the 26th and came home the 29th. The ride down there was never ending and took FOREVER! We stopped in St George and picked up Jess and Shauntel. That night we exchanged gifts with the kids. The older kids went in on a gift together for my dad and we got him the Richard Petty Nascar experience. He did not believe that was really his gift. Joseph came up with the idea and we all thought since we would be in Vegas why not. The next morning (The 27th) we headed over to the track. It was so much fun to watch him! Jess even got a picture of my dad waving out of the window while he was driving. JP, Joseph and Jess all were very jealous! JP kept asking one of the tech people about the cars, like what type of fuel they use how, often the change tires and so on. After driving we headed over to the strip and hung out. The one thing about Vegas is you walk A LOT!! The next day we went to the Shark Reef. It was really neat and very crowded. Everyone else was in Vegas too. That night we went to the dinner show at the Excalibur. We enjoyed tomato soup, danish hen, broccoli, potato fries all without utensils. All part of the experience. We all decided if JP wanted to change jobs he could be one of the knights in the show, as they all had long hair. Our knight for Spain was not having a good night. He did win one jousting round. The prince even looked like Prince Charming from Shrek. I thought that was funny. The last day was travel home day. The ride home was a lot better then the ride down!
