You get fat when you are going to have a baby
Yesterday I had the cutest little girl come in and get her teeth cleaned. It was her first visit and she had A LOT of questions. I cleaned her teeth first and then cleaned her moms teeth. The whole time I was cleaning her moms teeth the little girl was asking me questions. 'Why are you doing that?' 'What makes cavities?', etc. Her mom kept apologizing and telling her daughter to be quiet. I didn't mind. Then the mom pointed to my belly and asked her daughter to ask me about what that is. "I know," said the little girl. "I noticed that when she came and got us. She is going to have a baby. You get fat when you are going to have a baby." The interesting thing is she said it very matter of factly, she was not being mean. The mom was very embarrassed and started apologizing. Honestly I didn't mind, because the girl was five and to her when someone is getting bigger they are getting fat. I actually thought it was pretty funny. Little kids can be very honest and in this case she was. So the moral of the story is, be very careful when asking little children questions, because they tell the truth!

Break down at Benihana
This happened back in December but I thought you would enjoy this crazy pregnant lady story. Every December my family goes to the Kurt Bestor matinee concert and after we eat at Benihana. This year, that same day was also a family party with my moms family. So we woke up and headed up to Bountiful. We were late for the family party because JP thought it started at eleven but it started at ten. (We are late for EVERYTHING so when our little girl gets here we are in BIG trouble!) We get to the party, I eat and start feeling better. After the party we head home. The concert starts in two hours. I am tired and lay down but can't fall asleep. JP went somewhere and when he gets home the concert now starts in one hour. He tells me I should get up and get ready. I reluctantly get up and get ready. Again we are behind schedule and off to the concert we go.
As we are pulling into the parking garage, the car in front of us rolls back and hits us. Thankfully no damage was done. So we run across the street and make it to the concert right before it starts. After the concert we hurry over to Benihana. We get seated and I have to go to the bathroom. As I am washing my hands, my little sister comes into the bathroom and asks me what I want to order. I am washing my hands, can you not wait? I get back to the table and everyone has ordered. JP asks what I want and I tell him I have not looked at the menu yet can he just mellow out. My dad then asks what I want to eat. At this point I start crying and say "Why do we have to rush so much. I just sat down. Can I not go to the bathroom without being bombarded with what I want to order? All day long I have been hurrying, can't we just relax!?" I should add here that my sister Kim had a date with her and there are people sitting on the table across from us and they are now talking about me and staring.
Come to find out, after the fact, our waitress was just in a hurry and adamant that everyone order NOW. Which made everyone hurry and order. I happened to be in the bathroom so my dad sent my sister in to get my order. Why do people have to be in such a hurry? We had just sat down! Anyways, hope you enjoyed one of my crazy pregnant stories!

PUT THE PRETZELS AWAY
Have you ever had one of those days, you know the kind when you wake up in the morning and think 'should I even get out of bed?' Yesterday could be called one of those days. My alarm went off, I got out of bed. I showered and thought about what I was going to wear to church, being that only very few things fit anymore it is not really a hard decision! I get out of the shower and JP asks me "Did daylight savings happen last night or tonight?" WHAT!? I had totally forgotten about daylight savings time. So it was now eleven and not ten and church starts in thirty minutes. I think about just climbing back into bed but then I have a calling to fulfill. So I hurry and throw on clothes and run off to church. As I am sitting in Relief Society I am thinking it is really hot in here. Then I start sweating bullets. I find something to use as a fan and start fanning myself. The lesson could not have ended any sooner because I was about to throw up. I get up and walk around the building for awhile and then go back to Sunday School.
After Sunday School we head into sacrament meeting. JP decides to sit in the middle of a row. The meeting was going really well. JP was snacking on pretzels. He would eat some, put them away and then get them out again. It is really hot in sacrament meeting too and next thing I know the smell of the pretzels is not good. I turn to JP and tell him he needs to put the pretzels away. He looks at me and is confused. I then explain to him that the smell is making me sick and he has to put the pretzels away NOW. He puts them away and then asks "Can I eat a jolly rancher?" Your wife is about to throw up and all you can think about is how hungry you are! I almost start crying because it is so hot, I feel like I am going to throw up, I am stuck in the middle of a row and my husband is upset because I just told him to put the pretzels away. I did survive, as did JP, with no long term injuries but I am highly contemplating just getting back into bed next time!

Valentines Day
I know Valentines Day was a month ago but I wanted to share what JP and I did for Valentines. First let me just say that I have always loved Valentines Day because it is so close to my birthday. In elementary school I would take in valentines cupcakes for my birthday. I love the colors red and pink! The whole cupid thing is kind of cute and creepy! This year I told JP to not get me anything, and I was serious. I would rather get onesies or something for the baby then anything else. JP thinks that is boring. Anyways, to celebrate Valentines Day we went to the Monster Truck Jam the Saturday before. And yes, I am a red neck! It was a lot of fun! We did not take our camera though so we only have pictures on our cells phones. The last truck to go was Grave Digger and he tipped over. Of course we had to stay and watch them flip it right side up! We try to go every year but sometimes we miss it. I told JP that next year we will have to find a babysitter because I am not taking an almost one year old to the Monster Jam show. He didn't understand why I wouldn't! See, you know you married a red neck when he wants to take his baby to the Monster Jam show! I LOVE MY RED NECK HUSBAND!!!!
