7 months old

Crazy how fast these little kids change in just one month. My little baby girl is no longer baby, she looks like a toddler! Here is what Abilynn did this month.

*She does head stands. She will put her hands on the floor and sticks her little bum in the air.
*She now has 3 teeth, with one on the way. Her third tooth was on the bottom.
*Abilynn LOVES to pull her socks off and eat them. They taste really good!! She has done this for quite awhile.
*She crawls everywhere. She likes that she can get whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. She has already explored the garbage in the bathroom, the dogs bed, the dogs water dish, the Christmas tree, the dogs food dish while Bailey was eating his food (which by the way Bailey is the PREFECT dog, he didn't even growl at Abi when she was taking his food dish away. Instead he ate even faster!).
*Abi loves to crawl over to her toy boxes and dump the toys everywhere. She will then try to crawl into the toy box.
*She eats vege's. She shuddered when we gave her green beans for the first time and then gagged on them. She tolerates green beans now but prefers carrots, sweet potato's, and squash. Peas are liked but not loved like sweet potato's!
*She still LOVES her oatmeal and rice cereal. I tried some rice cereal the other day and gagged! NASTY!! Green beans taste way better then rice cereal.
*She has discovered stairs. Abi even made it up one of them. Thankfully I was right there watching and she didn't fall off.
*She can pull herself up to stand. When I go get her out of her crib in the morning and after naps, she is standing there to greet me. How I learned she could do this is I heard the mobile chiming on the monitor. I was confused because baby girl was suppose to be asleep and you had to turn the mobile to make it chime. I went into the nursery to investigate, and there Abi was standing up, swinging the mobile around, smiling as big as she could!
*Abilynn claps her hands. She likes to play pat-a-cake.
*She scrunches her nose to make a silly face. I have it on video.
*She likes to put things in her mouth and crawl around. She is pretending to be a puppy!
*Abilynn is learning to cry to get her way. It is a VERY dramatic cry too! JP plays right into it. We are in BIG trouble!!!

6 months old

Baby Girl you are growing WAY too fast. Make time slow down. Everyday I hang out with Abilynn I love her more and more. The days I work, I can't wait to pick her up and just cuddle. Here is what she has been up too...

*She can crawl. She has scooted around, and done head stands for awhile. One day she decided she wanted the dogs toy and off she went!
*She has two teeth but more are on the way and soon because she is chewing on EVERYTHING and slobbering A LOT!
*She played in the snow for the first time.
*She can start out on her back on the floor and end up sitting on her bum.
*She can sit up by herself without wobbling.
*She can hold onto the side of the pack and play and stand for quite awhile. Aunt Whitney helped her learn this. Now when I try to get her to sit down she will straighten her legs to stand. Little stinker!
*She is now wearing size three diapers. After so many blow-outs in size two, we said good bye and moved up.
*She sleeps for 7 hours straight at night. Wakes up to eat, and then goes back to bed for another 2-3 hours.
*She takes two naps a day, anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
*She eats rice cereal and will take the spoon from you if you don't feed her fast enough. We are starting vege's this week!
*She talks and talks and talks. It is more like screaming, but with a smile.
*She is into EVERYTHING. Now that she can crawl the whole house needs to be discovered, every nook and cranny!
*She sat in the front of the shopping cart. I would always leave her in her car seat but decided that she was old enough to sit in the front. She promptly tried to eat the shopping cart handle and got upset when I stopped her.

Rice Cereal

Baby Girl had been showing interest in food for awhile, so Daddy decided to try some. Why not? We were up at my parents house so they had rice cereal, spoons and a high chair. Abilynn really liked the cereal. I am not sure why because the stuff smells funny! She ate a bowl and was content. It also happened to be on her 5 month birthday.

When I feed her now she will try to grab the spoon, as if to tell me 'Mom you are not feeding me fast enough!' She will also lean into the spoon. She loves her food, and always has, so why would it be any different with cereal?!

Faster dad, faster!

Not really sure about it yet.

Lots of posts

I have finally updated my blog with lots of things I have been meaning to post so sorry about the post overload!!

First snow

Hand full of snow.

Eating hand full of snow. Not sure what to think!

Technically it is Abilynn's second snow. It snowed when she was only eight days old. This was the first snow she could play in. Being the responsible mom I am, I packed her up in her snowsuit and took her outside. I then plopped her down in the snow. What did she do? She grabbed two hands full of snow and started eating it. She didn't care that it was cold. If fact the only time she got upset was when she fell over and the sun was in her eyes. I was telling JP the other day that I was not ready for snow because that means Baby Girl and I will be stuck inside. He told me that I should just pack her up in her snowsuit and take her outside to play in the snow. Maybe I will, if she keeps tolerating the snow well!

The ZOO

Abilynn and I went to the ZOO about a month ago. We went with Aunt Jamie and Cousin Tymon. We met up with Aunt Shauntel and Cousin Annabelle while there. Abi had a lot of fun. We watched the elephant show. While watching the elephant show some man pushed his way in front of the stroller and was practically sitting on top of Abilynn. He also had his kid on his shoulders. I am too chicken to say something but really should have! He didn't stay for too long otherwise I probably would have said something. We walked around the rest of the ZOO and then rode the merry-go-round. Abilynn LOVED the merry-go-round. She would have gone on it twice, but was asleep. I am excited to go next year!

Abilynn and her tiger.
Riding the merry-go-round and holding on real tight! This is one of my favorite pictures of Baby Girl.
